Hello,
My name is Silvia. I am Italian and I am addicted to shoe. In this blog I am going to do reviews on shoes that I own and shoes on the market. I will post about trends with shoes, tips, tricks, must haves and much more!
Lets start off with the shoe inspiration of the day:
Christian Louboutin Pigalle 120mm is their official name, but as I think of them more as his classic shoe. Lets just take a moment and look at how beautiful these heels are! Sold out worldwide-these louboutins have women everywhere on waiting lists in the hopes of getting their hands on one of these babies.
They truly are a work of art, from the elegant and simple look to the amount of work and detail put into the making of them. These heels go well with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. They simply cannot go wrong and what makes them even better is that their pointed toe box creates the illusion of a long and slim leg, which no one minds having!
Having said that they style easily with anything- these are stilettos and that means that it makes it more complicated to walk on them additionally due to its absence of plateau. I think that only heel professionals would wear these to work since as beautiful as they are, they do eventually hurt just as all heels do, due to its steep pitch and height.
These shoes retail for $675
Now, in my opinion, if you are a shoe lover or collector and just have to have these because they are iconic everywhere, then go for it. If you are someone who is looking for a perfect shoe to invest in (as these are quite pricy) then I would not recommend the Pigalle's as they are stilettos which come in 100mm and 120mm but nevertheless they are still without a plateau and therefore making it more difficult to walk in them for a long period of time. On the other hand however, if you do have experience with walking in high heels for a long period of time and just don't want sky scraper stilettos but still really like the Pigalle's then I recommend getting them in 100mm as they would be easier to walk in compared to the 120mm.
This particular pair runs true to size, but my advice first of all if you are ordering them online, to try them on first if you have a store nearby just to see which is the perfect fit for your foot. Secondly I would advise that if you are purchasing them at the store, to try a half size up as the toe box of these is smaller compared to the So Kates (another model made by Christian Louboutin) which means that there is less space for your toes and would cause more pain. However if you see that the half size up is to lose then get your actual size as you do not want any slippage occuring, because can you imagine walking in a 120mm shoe and having your foot slip out the back? Yikes!
These heels come in various colors and patterns but the most famous ones are the black ones and the nude ones. These heels are very classic, super timeless and very very easy to style and just up your outfit even more. Their red bottom, is what makes them even more iconic due to its worldwide fame.
I hope this review was helpful to anyone out there interested in knowing about the Pigalles or thinking of buying them. If any of you have any additional questions or would like for me to write a review on a particular pair of shoes then just leave a comment below and I will be glad to do so!
Bye!
Silvia
